In the book Self Analysis, Ron wrote: “
Probably the most neglected friend you have is you. And yet every man, before he can be a true friend to the world, must first become a friend to himself.
“In this society, where aberration flourishes in the crowded cities and marts of business, few are the men who have not been subjected, on every hand, to a campaign to convince them that they are much less than they think they are.
“You would fight anyone who said of your friends what is implied about you. It is time you fought for the best friend you will ever have–yourself.”
If you’re watching TV or looking through a magazine it doesn’t take long to see how many people are neglecting themselves, or are introspective or self-doubting. Pharmaceutical companies are growing fat off the profits from the meds they are dishing out to “solve” just these problems.
So it’s pretty incredible that this one little book can do so much to increasing self-confidence and self-respect.
I first used Self Analysis over 30 years ago. I had the most amazing experience the first time I tried it. In about 20 minutes I had a literal transformation in mood, alertness and well being. I wasn’t even doing that bad to begin with, but it was shocking how much better I felt afterwards.
I use Self-Analysis all the time. If I run into something in life, in a relationship, at work, that brings be down or really gets me going I pull out this book, run the processes in it for a half hour or so and watch the upsets and irritations melt away.
Can’t beat that!

In Scientology: A New Slant on Life Ron wrote:
“I must face tghe fact that we have reached tghat merger point where science and religion meet and we must now cease to pretend to deal with material goals alone.”
I’ve been studying the basic Scientology and Dianetics books, and when you study Ron’s research as a consecutive path you can really see now the religion of Scientology evolved.
If I ever had any question about Scientology being a religion this study would have answered that for me.

This article by Ken Eckersley of the UK is an excellent one:
Mahatma Gandhi famously replied, when asked what he thought of western civilisation, “I think that’s a very good idea.”
I subscribe to the aims of Scientology which are: “a civilisation without insanity, without criminals and without war, where the able can prosper and honest beings can have rights, and where man is free to rise to greater heights”.
Similar aims have been held by millions of people through the ages, yet still we have insanity, crime and war in abundance – probably more than ever. One’s inclination can be to shrug and say these aims are impossible.
But my experience is that there are two fundamental requirements to being able to make some decent progress towards their achievement:
1. Recognising that each individual person has a spiritual nature and that they are basically good, no matter how “bad” they might be in their current state.
2. Having a workable technology that can assist each individual person to become his or her true, good self. Whilst it has proved impractical to help “the masses,” you can help individuals and they can help themselves and others if they know how. Then it becomes a question of increasing the numbers of individuals helped.
For me, L Ron Hubbard and Scientology have provided both of these requirements.
Scientology practice involves the study and handling of the spirit in relationship to itself, others and all of life. The religion comprises a body of knowledge extending from certain fundamental truths, and prime amongst these are that we are all immortal, spiritual beings. Our experience extends well beyond a single lifetime. Our capabilities are unlimited, even if not presently realised – but those capabilities can be realised.>>
Thanks Ken!

I’m writing this blog because I have gained so much from the work L. Ron Hubbard did to create Dianetics and Scientology.
It seems more and more people are interested in finding out about Scientology. But some have really strange ideas about the subject. So I thought I’d put in my own 2 Cents, since I have them to give, having been a Scientologist for many years.
So, since people who’ve never had anything to do with Scientology post things in their blogs as though they were experts, I thought it was time to way in as an actual expert since I am a Scientology minister and I’ve been around forever.
